Learn to make a felted cat portrait patch! Join Buffalo Makers Hub and learn to needle felt a portrait of an orange cat on 1mm pressed wool felt. You can learn the basics of felted painting and use your knowledge to create a portrait of your own pet on December 13th in a follow up workshop (same location).
Patches will be wearable or for display, and can be washed on a gentle cold setting, or by hand. Needle felting is a technique that uses barbed needles to tangle and compress sheep’s wool together to create sculptures and flatwork.
Emma DuBois started needle felting at the age of 11 when she received a kit for Christmas. She grew up in WNY then attended the national theatre school in Montreal for two years. There she honed her design skills and perfected her French speaking. Emma often travels to connect with other artists and vend at art markets. She also teaches classes, creates custom art pieces, and makes content for social media.
We reserve the option to cancel if less than 5 attendees. In this case, you will receive a full refund.

Have you wanted to learn to paint but felt it was too intimidating? Artist Cheyenne Ernst will make still life a breeze!
Channelling your inner Cèzanne? Paint like a pro under the guidance of Cheyenne and explore how to capture light sources and shadows through still life fruit bowl painting.
Cheyenne is a cancer scientist by day, a great teacher, and gifted acrylic artist. Since we're talking about apples, we've collab'd with a local farm! Grab your apple to paint, learn more about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA's), and maybe pick up a CSA membership for next year. So apples, painting, and farming, what more could you ask for!
